narrator. its not her fault Penelope Keith has passed away. I just cant listen. her voices are terrible, I cant distinguish one from another. why didn't they get someone who had a similar voice to Penelope Keith. i will just read the books from now on.

For the first time in the Agatha Raisin series, I actually stopped halfway through because I’d lost the motivation to continue.

I really missed the vulnerable, chaotic, human Agatha...the friendship with Mrs Bloxby and her little distractions involving James and Sir Charles. Here, she felt almost too confident, and it took away some of the charm.

An okay read, but nowhere near as enjoyable as the original series. And the narration felt rather tepid too.

I miss the old Agatha!

After pre ordering this book months ago, before the sad passing of the wonderful Penelope Keith, like many others, I just can’t listen to it. I’ve listened to every book and loved them but sadly this will be my last, I’m stopping reading at chapter 3.
It’s not just the narration, let’s be fair, whoever took it on was a brave soul to follow in PK’s wake but the character of Agatha seems to have changed too, I’m so sorry but it’s just sub standard writing and narration too.

So disappointed

I didn’t realise until I listened to this just how much Penelope Keith’s narration truly brought these books to life. Her legacy will truly live on through the older stories.

I’m afraid the narration was not the usual standard in this series and so have decided to buy the book rather than listen ! Penelope Keith was the best ❤️ Can’t fully rate the story as haven’t read it yet
