True enemies to lovers. Murder as a love language. Blistering romance. The intoxicating global fantasy romance bestseller you won’t be able to resist.
‘I'd rather be tortured by your presence than agonized by your absence.’
Every person Harlow Carrenwell kisses dies, and that’s the way she likes it.
Her first husband is in the ground. Her new betrothed is next.
But Harlow has a secret. When she’s not acting as her parents’ assassin, she moonlights as a vigilante hunting abusive men in their walled city.
Until one night Harlow kisses a mark and he doesn’t die.
Worse, he is her new betrothed, Henry Havenwood, and now he knows about her double life. Instead of exposing her, he does something far more dangerous – he whisks her away to marry him in his wild mountain fort.
Cursed with a husband she can’t kill and trapped in a fort surrounded by vampire-infested woods, Harlow must do the impossible. . .
Make the man who knows she’s a killer fall in love with her anyway.

Perfection!

Loved the originality, and I was enamoured by the twisty and clever plot. I was gutted when it finished. A definite reread for me. 100% recommend.
Superb

Then something exciting would happen and I'd been hooked again...however the dragging returned. This cycle happened multiple times and I genuinely think you could shave of a good 7-8 hours of just droning on. There also seemed plot points that were introduced and then not solved or dealt with...Breeders and the guy that she fought with.
I liked Henry's character and I initially liked Harlow's until zero character progression happened with her. She just continued to be combative despite also being deceiving.
Worth a read but I definitely won't be rereading.
Dodgy pacing but narrated fantastically
