This book has allowed Nikita Hand to give her very detailed account and important context of how this horrible incident took place. Her honesty and courage are admirable, and it reminds us that there is “not a perfect victim.”

As readers and listeners, we are given great insight into the case, including details which were not reported through the media at the time. She also shares her experience of how survivors are treated by our very flawed justice system, but also acknowledges the encouragement and support of the detectives, including Peter Woods and Ger White, as well as the wonderful Cliona and the other therapists from the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre.

A very powerful and honest account, and one I would highly recommend.

I really admired Nikita Hands’ bravery in speaking out and sharing her story. It takes so much courage to talk openly about difficult and deeply personal experiences. I found it heartbreaking to read about what she had to go through, and I wouldn’t wish those experiences on anyone.

This book gives an honest insight into her journey, and I have a lot of respect for her for finding the strength to tell her story. I would definitely recommend giving this book a read.
