If you love enemies to lovers, magical trials, found family, he trains her, gods and goddesses and a found family that will make you shed a tear - this is for you.
It’s gripping from start to finish, paced so well and fully got me in ‘one more chapter’ mode.

Anthony Palmini has the same effect on me as Kyor does on Rose. His voice. He’s too much, I love him.

I thought this was an exceptional start to the series. The pace is just right and the story telling is exciting and strong. The development of the romance between main FMC and MMC is touching and tender but spicy when needed. The ending of the book isn't what you expect given the triumph of the MFC just beforehand but it sets up the development of the plot for the next book. The narration is skillfully handled between the two narrators and I don't think they could have done better. So looking forward to the next book in this series.

Received this in a book sub and then realised the audiobook was duet with 2 of my fave narrators - so glad I did because it was binge worthy.
Great banter and characters, heartache and a story that built throughout with some twists. Looking forward to bk2!

I know this is a new genre for this Author, but I already love her other books so I knew it would be good. What I didn’t know was that her imagination and her storytelling could keep me so enthralled from the first page to the last. It not only made me shocked, but it also made me cry. The emotion in this book takes you on such a rollercoaster of a ride.
You are never sure what will happen next. I was so hoping that some of the deaths might be reversed, but at the same time it adds to the shock value of the story. The narration was absolutely superb. I don’t quite know what to do with myself after finishing this book. I don’t think I can sleep my mind and my heart don’t quite know how to wait for the next book.

This is a well narrated, dual pov, duet narrated audiobook.👏🎧

This took me quite a while to settle into. I enjoyed the free prequel, so I thought I'd fall into the book more easily.🤷🏻‍♀️ At around 60%, I finally sank into it.🙌

I didn't like that so many of the found family were lost, my heart hurt.💔 I loathed Jonas. He was a cross between Dain and Tamlin.🫣Controlling, needy, and blackmail-y!👀

Her sister turns out to be anoyingly foolish.🙄 I had a feeling and was proved right, sadly. I feel like Kay and Jonas would be better off together.😉

I loved Kyor. He's been through a lot, they both have, yet they are so strong together. I'm ready for book 2.😍💘
