Now listened to probably 10 of this series and am enjoying the series overall. Griff's style means the story is more like reading a a diary than a warm story that draws you in. Little emotion in the telling from losing a wife to losing friends of many years. Both get a paragraph at most. Lots of "and then we went to x, did y & faught z"
The narrator whilst good has a limited selection of voices to call upon. All vikings seem to sound the same but he tells the story well and keeps it moving.
