In celebration of 90 years of DC comes a thrilling and immersive audio production adapting super fan and writer Mark Waid’s comprehensive New History of the DC Universe, turning back time to the very beginning of it all.

Narrated by Barry Allen/The Flash, this exciting audio adaptation of the 2025 four-issue comic book series by legendary creators Mark Waid, Jerry Ordway, Todd Nauck, and many more of DC’s greatest artists, traces the storied history of the DC Universe from the rise of the Justice Society of America, through its defining eras, one chapter at a time. New History of the DC Universe is a genre-defying, definitive chronicle of the World’s Greatest Super Heroes. Adventure Fantasy Genre Fiction Movie, TV & Video Game Tie-Ins Science Fiction Superhero

The other two audiobooks so far in this series have been adaptations of well-loved storylines, All Star Superman and Kingdom Come. They were superb and gripping. This one is no less well produced and performed, but as it more or less takes the form of a textbook (albeit one narrated by the Flash) it lacks drama. It was a lovely tour of the DC Universe but I'd question it's selection as an audiobook when there's so much more to draw from storyline-wise.

Well produced but not gripping
