Just when you think you have figured out how the story and possible happy ending, it hits you with another twist which leads to wanting more and with lots of questions

This was such a wild ride and I need 7-10 business days to recover. I am knackered in the best way possible, outside of spending the night with Kaelis and a full deck of tarot 😉 Not only do we get constant tarot magic and world-building with the histories of this world, but we spend so much time with the characters! The magic system is impeccably developed and I could spend many many books just hanging out in this universe to learn more about it. Clara and Kaelis continue to struggle with trusting one another and those around them but love prevails. Their constant doubts heavily influenced me as a reader and I still don't trust anyone. That being said, some of the declarations Kaelis makes to Clara had me kicking my feet and blushing. When I say he is down bad, y'all don't even know! There is so much devastation and heartbreak in PoS -- Elise received her payment of readers tears from me in full this year. I have many questions and that ending was absolutely bananas. While I loved the fantasy and the amazing world Elise has developed, her intimate scenes with K&C were exceptional. The use of tarot in the bedroom was next level 🤌and I need book 3 immediately because what do you mean that was the end of book 2?!

I loved everything about this and it's a rare thing when the second book in a trilogy raises the bar in such a way!
