A Persephone & Hades Retelling with a “Why Choose” Twist

The God of Death says I’m his long-lost bride.
His soul mate.
An Omega who betrayed him two thousand years ago.

He believes my memories are the key to our survival.
Only, they’re memories I no longer possess. Because I’m not who he thinks I am.

I’m Serapina, not Persephone.
A human, not an Omega.
And that knot he keeps talking about? Yeah, that’s not coming anywhere near me.

Except Hades isn’t the only one threatening to claim me with his knot. Morpheus, the God of Dreams, says I belong to him, too.

And don’t even get me started on Maliki, the sexy fae guard in charge of my captivity. That deadly fae has a body crafted in sin and a smirk that makes me question my sanity.

All three men want access to my nest. To my heart. To my mind.

It’s that last part that scares me most. Because if I truly am the Omega that betrayed my own kind, then I’m not worthy of being a Goddess. Let alone their Goddess. And what happens then?

Author’s Note: Bride of Death is book one of the Netherworld Fae trilogy and ends on a cliffhanger.

A surprisingly slow-burn from Lexi C Foss as she introduces us to a new kingdom.
Shane East growls and grumbles as the moody Hades, while Michelle Sparks makes Seraphina her own with beautiful rich tones.
Kale Williams takes on the sexy enforcer who’s watching her in more ways than one, and Grayson Owen’s oozes appeal as Morpheus (though Brits may grit their teeth with some of his pronunciations)
Enjoyed it all in one day as it glided along at a great pace, looking forward to discovering what happens next.

Another Hell Fae book, but this one with Hades and Morpheus as Wolves and Malaki is a fae.
Sera is a human with Persephone's soul in tow and Hades wants to marry her and make her suffer for past deeds.
I think this book relates His Lethal Pet, which I haven't read yet, but Sera was brought to the realm for the Monster Hunt and was hidden away by her sister and her mates.
Narration is great!

this is a slow burn as Sera learns that her soul is Persephone. After a year Hades thinks she is playing him he tasks Maliki to watch and protect her.

About 4.2 ⭐'s - this is my first Lexi C Foss book and ended up a vibes read for me, it's not epic high fantasy/romantasy - it's everything you'd want if you're looking for a magical, why choose series, as well as being an easy and enjoyable listen on audiobook (it's a full cast narration with some of the best narrators) it's a bit of a mash up as well, the characters are gods but also Fae and with attributes and references you'd expect in a shifter series, for a why choose it's actually quite a slow burn, I love all the characters especially Malachi and Pip in this one, and the references to mythical, well know gods and stories makes my inner geek happy - so in summary it's just good

I've read a few Hades & Persephone retellings but Lexi C Foss has really gripped my attention with this one, left wanting more and excited for book 2.
The narration is brilliant, All in all I can’t recommend this series enough.

Unique!
