You’re not imagining it.

The people vanishing. The headlines that disappear. The unease you can’t quite name.

Caleb is a crisis PR fixer who specializes in erasing scandals—until a classified file crosses his desk and shatters everything he thought was safe.

What begins as a routine cover-up spirals into a hidden war involving experimental memory tech, missing children, and a broadcast that was never meant to air.

Pursued by agents, activists, and ghosts from his past, Caleb must decide what he believes—and who he becomes—when every version of the truth is weaponized.

Truth is the first book in The Redacted Series, a cinematic psychological thriller about surveillance, manipulation, and the dangerous stories we tell ourselves to survive.

The world Linda Sanchez builds in Truth kept me on edge. Caleb, the PR fixer, is forced to unravel conspiracies bigger than anything he’s handled. The revelations about memory tech, disappearances, and media manipulation are sharp. Jared Masar’s narration matches the tone - calm when needed, tense where the plot demands it. The 3h 29m length keeps it tight; I loved it.

This audiobook pulls you in fast and doesn’t let go. The premise feels disturbingly plausible, and the tension builds with every chapter as the lines between truth and manipulation blur. Caleb is a compelling lead, and the story strikes a great balance between action and psychological depth. A sharp, addictive start to the series.

I enjoyed how Truth transforms the well-known concept of government secrets into something even more sinister. It's difficult to know what or who to trust in this story because of memory technology, missing children, spying, and vanishing headlines.

Because he begins by assisting in the cover-up of controversies and eventually begins to doubt everything around him, Caleb is an intriguing protagonist. The tale was kept moving by the speed and cinematic atmosphere, and the psychological aspects went beyond the typical thriller. I'm interested in what will happen next because it's a compelling series premise.

Caleb’s unraveling drags listeners into a taut, cinematic thriller where experimental memory tech and institutional secrecy make reality itself suspect. Unnerving, keeps you guessing as every revelation forces a brutal choice about which version of the truth is worth defending.
