The deliciously dark new suspense novel from the international bestselling author of Strange Sally Diamond

If my sister hadn’t been beautiful, none of it would have happened.

Ruby Cooper and her sister, Erin, live an idyllic life in their close-knit church community in Boston. But when Ruby is sixteen, she is involved in an incident that causes her family’s world to implode.

Across decades, the fallout leaves a wake of destruction behind Ruby in Dublin and Erin in Boston.

Not that Ruby wants to think about the past.

But it can’t stay a secret forever.

It’s hard to find something that I didn’t like about this book. It’s beautiful and refreshing at the same time.

The reflective honesty of all the characters is so appealing.

I don’t think I have disliked a character as much as I did with Ruby. The story was good but it was so depressing.

I was so looking forward to this book being published and boy it didn’t disappoint. A true page turner from start to finish.

You just don’t know what’s going to happen next - utterly brilliant

I love Liz Nugent’s books, they’re impossible to stop listening to, so I’d been eagerly anticipating this release, and it didn’t disappoint. The storyline was gripping, and the performance was fantastic. As with many of her novels, the main character was deeply flawed, which made the story all the more compelling. I genuinely couldn’t stop listening, I loved every minute of it and I’m sad this story’s over!

Worth the wait
