I found the main character initially irritating but found myself liking him by the end. Lots of good characters ready for development in future books. I would recommend it but you may need a bit of patience initially to allow the characters to develop.

Thoroughly enjoyable. A great story with wonderful characters I couldn’t help but love. The performance was well paced and brilliantly delivered.

Very much looking forward to the next intrigue on Gallymay and while I wait, I’ll be looking for other stories from this author and more performances from this narrator.

R R Haywood cannot write a bad book! And this one is no exception. You instantly fall in love with his characters and miss them like family when the book ends. I cannot wait for the next in the series! It’s so delightfully light hearted and yet poignant with chuckle out loud bits. And the plot moves quick enough to keep those virtual pages turning! The narrator is also a genius. Five stars all the way from me! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
