Intelligent protagonists
Witty characters
With the reassuringly predictable plot.
None of the unfortunate tendency of other “chick lit” to have awful things (or awful people) happening to the characters which may be triggering , apart from getting dumped of course!

love Portias books and this one is even better as the female lead is a bit more switched on than some of others - quite often in the rom com books I cringe to myself about the behaviour of the female leads and/or them being a little dense! This book has plenty of with and charm and Brodie is a clear dreamboat.
the only thing I wish it had was more definition on what happened between Todd and Nicki at the start!

I love the way this author writes and the narrator is as brilliant as ever. This storyline has wonderful character, with a fun and delightful storyline. A perfect relaxed listen/ read. Now I'm off to book a cruise to Italy!
