I LOVE this trilogy so far. I listened to the first book, Thunderbird Rising, and was thrilled to see the second available. This series is amazing and just as good if not better than watching a movie. Although, it's fully worthy of that honor! I really enjoy some of the same characters and more developments. That said, you could start with this book and go out of order if that makes sense for you. This is full of action, excitement, elements of romance, high stakes. It keeps you wanting to know what's next! I highly recommend and am looking forward to more with Maxx King soon.

I listened to this at 3 a.m. when sleep wouldn’t come. Maxx’s scars and hunted past reminded me of lying awake after my divorce, wondering if I’d make it through. The audiobook gave me a strange comfort, like someone else knew what it was like to keep moving when your heart feels shattered.
