'Everything I loved about the Ruinous Love Series and MORE . . . MORE spice, MORE plot twists, MORE serial killers' ABBY JIMENEZ

'The undisputed queen of dark rom-coms is back' ALI HAZELWOOD

From No.1 New York Times bestselling author Brynne Weaver comes a wickedly delicious new series where dark romantic comedy meets thrilling suspense - and where falling in love can be a killer . . .

Welcome to Cape Carnage! Visit Once, Stay Forever.

You can hide in the farthest reaches of the deepest hell, and I will still drag you out. Even the devil can't save you from me.

Cape Carnage is a seaside town of colourful houses, quirky shops, and an unusually high body count. But with tourists comes trouble, and Harper Starling won't let anyone ruin her picture-perfect home. A skilled gardener with killer instincts, Harper protects her sanctuary at any cost. Troublesome tourists don't check out of Carnage. They compost beneath Harper's award-winning flowerbeds.

But Nolan Rhodes isn't your average tourist. Devilishly handsome, disarmingly charming, and skilled with a blade, Nolan is relentless in the pursuit of revenge. Every year, Nolan slays another target. And he's saved the best for last: the undeniably beautiful Harper Starling. The problem? Harper isn't the monster he expected. And she won't go down without a fight.

When an amateur true crime investigator comes to Cape Carnage on the trail of a long-lost serial killer, Harper and Nolan strike an uneasy truce. If Nolan helps Harper protect her town, she'll keep quiet about his hunting habits . . . for now. But their alliance soon spirals into obsession, one that threatens to shatter every secret in Carnage - including their fragile love.

🌊🌹🔪💋

Tourist Season is a darkly funny, slow burn enemies-to-lovers romance where destruction and desire are balanced on the edge of a blade - and where love is the most dangerous battleground of all.

Editorial Review

Greetings from Cape Carnage
Brynne Weaver’s latest is twisted, hilarious, and an incredible start to a new series. Cape Carnage might look like a charming coastal town, but it runs on secrets, murder, and a suspicious tolerance for bloodshed. Harper Starling is Carnage’s grumpiest gardener and fiercest protector, doling out vigilante justice with her trusty wood chipper and her murder birds. When Nolan Rhodes shows up looking for revenge, he thinks Harper is his next target, but their meeting sparks a slow-burn, enemies-to-lovers spiral filled with sharp banter, forced proximity and tension that you could cut with a knife. Narrators Samantha Brentmoor and Robert Hatchet are an absolute dream team—delivering all the funny, all the stabby and all the spice. And that cliffhanger? It’s going to haunt me until I get book two. I need more Carnage, immediately!!—Patty R., Audible Editor

Brynne Weaver is a literary force unlike any other. Tourist Season is an evocative, suspenseful romance that will be sure to grip onto every reader's imagination and send their pulse skyrocketing. Filled with deliciously dark humour and slow-burn tension, Harper and Nolan's story was as decadent and twisted as it was human and raw. Just as gleefully ghoulish as fans will expect, this series-launching black comedy from bestseller Weaver (Butcher and Blackbird) pairs two serial killers in a quirky coastal town. Weaver's good at what she does

oh my goodness!!!! I did not expect that and it was even better than what i had in mind!!! the narrators were really good and the plot was mind blowing!!!!! loved the characters and i had a great time figuring out what was going on and I'm excited for the next one. To be honest i wanted for Nolan to find the truth sooner and to talk with Harper about it but its okay at least he knew before the end. The end its still a little bit confusing cause i have so many ideas for what's going to happen and I'm very very intrigued!!!

Equally dark, suspenseful, hot parts & funny
The tension, the banter, their hatred towards each other, the distrust, murder and mayhem..

Although the book is slow going. Which I did find a struggle.

Harper naming her woodchipper Cookie Monster 🤣 absolutely iconic. But let's not forget the pretty murder bird are great.

I really felt, the deepness of Weaver handled the portrayal of Alzheimers with care the caretaker for Arthur Lancaster, a retired (or maybe not-so-retired) serial killer.

Let's see where the next book goes

great book

aww, this is a great start to a new series that I am so eager for the next book now.

True to Brynne's brilliance and creative imagination. The story of Harper and Nolan is a powerful one. Plot twists. Untold truths and things waiting to be revealed. It keeps us the readers on the edge of our seats. And enough spicy bits to keep the flame burning.

I loved the book and I am looking forward to the next one
