I loved the fact that this story just flowed. I’ve never heard of this author previously and was looking for something different to listen to and was happily surprised when I came across this as I love true crime and crime fiction but this was a lighthearted take on it with a little bit of a love story. Overall it flowed really well and I would listen to other stories by this author and reader just because of how much I liked this one.

This was my first read of 2026, it was the perfect book for it; short and sweet. A different feel to this narrative than the run of the mill romance. Noah is exactly the guy Sid deserves by her side. The book is short but holds a significant change and development in Sid’s character; in another book this could feel lacking and shallow but I think Scott brilliantly hits the mark and we don’t need more from her to connect and engage with the story. This book felt nostalgic of the TV series I grew up watching from a different POV.

A couple of open door spicy scenes but not hugely graphic.
