Brad and Joey were so adorable together, the earnest enthusiasm they both had for their friendship was really sweet and Joey's near constant crisis's over Brad's unintended innuendos was really amusing. Brad is so oblivious at times that you can't help but feel endeared towards him. I really enjoyed the overall humour and how the relationship between these two developed and in general I had a really enjoyable time listening to this. Its low angst, cute in a toothachingly sweet way at times with a sprinkling of spice. Nick J Russo narrates and as always did a fantastic job with his performance and was a joy to listen to. I've been in such a funk/slump lately and this was the easygoing listen I needed. 🌶🌶

The characters in their adorkable (ie. adorable dorks) ways pulled me in right from the start, including the side charas. It was lovely to find this story kept me in its grip to the extent that I barely could stop listening for the night. That's to say, I binged it in almost one go
I love a story with at least one delightfully over the top character. This audiobook did deliver on that front. To top that off, not only did the dialogue bring open discussion about sex and sexuality - partly in gobsmacking directness - but also the expected witty banter and fun little references to pop culture.
In turn I snorted, laughed out loud, cringed, and pulled at my hair. A goofy grin and a giddy anticipation remained with me as the main characters slowly but in an increasing tempo danced around one another, denying the overwhelming attraction growing between them.
The spicy portions certainly deserve a special mention for not only being hot, loving, and showing the growing closeness of the main characters. Especially the depiction of anal sex with its necessary preparation was written in a positive, realistic, and exceptionally attentive way. That was a positive surprise, seeing how often bottoming in penis in anus intercourse is mistakenly written as bound to be painful, especially for the first time. Of course, the same applies to the writing of PIV (penis in vagina) sex.
When done right neither has to hurt.
This story left me in a good mood and I'm bound to listen to it again. That being said, I felt there was quite a lot about the main characters' background that made them react, behave, and think like they did left unexplained or just with a surface scratch. This made me crave for more info of both of the main characters. Had that been in the audiobook it would've been a full five stars from me.
