About this listen

Villanelle and Eve are back

The eagerly anticipated brand new book in Luke Jennings's bestselling Killing Eve series - the page-turning novels that became the BAFTA-winning drama starring Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh.

'This twisty, jaw-dropping tale kept me gripped from beginning to end!' - International bestselling author Tess Gerritsen

I haven't kept her safe. Someone's taken her.

It goes without saying that when I find out who that is, I'll kill them

Ex-MI6 officer Eve Polastri and assassin Oxana Vorontsova are living off-grid in Russia. Their existence is pinched and drab; both know how close they came to mutual destruction.

Oxana is approached by the Twelve. Frustrated by inaction, hungry for her old life, she allows herself to be brought in from the cold. Then she finds Eve gone, taken from her by those who think she still belongs to them.

And so Villanelle wakes, and a new game begins ♟

Villanelle plays her part with lethal skill, indulging the monster that has for too long been caged. As the hunt for Eve takes her from St Petersburg to Paris and a final reckoning in London, old and new enemies surface. Soon both women are drawn back into the shadowlands of political intrigue and murder.

You won't be able to stop thinking about this high-octane action thriller featuring two unforgettable heroines!

Praise for Killing Eve: Resurrection

'A welcome return for an icon of spy fiction' — Sunday Times bestselling author Charles Cumming

'Villanelle is one of the most entrancing characters ever created, simultaneously a heroine and villain, both fascinating and frightening. This twisty, jaw-dropping tale kept me gripped from beginning to end.' — International bestselling author Tess Gerritsen

Somehow Luke Jennings does it again: makes you root for a psychopath and the woman who will share her life provided they dodge bullets and her own murderous impulses - Author and journalist Catherine Mayer

This is a thrilling and easy read. Villanelle/Oxana and Eve are complicated characters and new ones are added to flesh out this novella. I especially like the new character of Billie. I was sceprical of a man writing a wlw relationship but Luke Jennings writes without fetishism that captures the intensity and passion just right. If there were more in the series I'd be keen to listen!

The length of the Killing Eve series makes them very readable

I only decided about a month ago to listen to the Killing Eve books, and was delighted to see a brand new 2025 instalment scheduled for release! I couldn't wait to listen and Jennings hasn't disappointed. With a plot that keeps you gripped, characters old and new unite in the best installation of the series so far!

Gripping, Twisting and Laugh Out Loud Funny

This was ultimately a disappointment. The story started off well, got quite exciting in the middle, then fizzled out big time, with a damp squib of an ending. The narration was excellent. The constant use of the term ‘babe’ between characters was grating & what was all the nonsense with the rat? Bizarre. Not a patch on the predecessors the series sadly.

Recommended for fan's and worth waiting for to continue the story. Just as twisty as before and not a dull moment.

This is so much better than that bloody ending. Can’t wait for the next book.
