Get ready to be transported to the world of Harry Potter in a captivating production that features hundreds of unique voices and immersive sound design that brings the wizarding world vividly to life in Dolby Atmos. You’ll hear footsteps echoing through the corridors of Hogwarts and the heart-racing whoosh of the Golden Snitch as it darts past your ears in the heat of a Quidditch match. Also featuring an electrifying new musical score, The Full-Cast Audio Editions present J.K. Rowling’s iconic series as a truly spellbinding listening event for the whole family.

Turning the envelope over, his hand trembling, Harry saw a purple wax seal bearing a coat of arms; a lion, an eagle, a badger and a snake surrounding a large letter 'H.’

Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. Addressed in green ink on yellowish parchment with a purple seal, they are swiftly confiscated by his grisly aunt and uncle. Then, on Harry's eleventh birthday, a great beetle-eyed giant of a man called Rubeus Hagrid bursts in with some astonishing news: Harry Potter is a wizard, and he has a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. An incredible adventure is about to begin!

Having become classics of our time, the Harry Potter stories never fail to bring comfort and escapism. With their message of hope, belonging and the enduring power of truth and love, the story of the Boy Who Lived continues to delight generations of new listeners.

Starring Frankie Treadaway as Harry Potter, Max Lester as Ron Weasley, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, Hugh Laurie as Albus Dumbledore, Riz Ahmed as Professor Snape, Michelle Gomez as Professor McGonagall, Matthew Macfadyen as Lord Voldemort, Cush Jumbo as Narrator, and a full cast.

Available in Dolby Atmos on Audible.

Editorial Review

Harry Potter like you’ve never heard it before
As a mother of elementary school children, nothing delights me more than seeing my kids begin to fall in love with the stories that empowered and inspired me when I was young. What’s even more special is that with this new full-cast audio edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, new audiences and established fans (like me!) will find it equally enchanting. The breathtaking sound design, immersive score, and outstanding performances by hundreds of actors had my kids on the edge of their seats, and I was squealing with delight right alongside them. Even if you know everything there is to know about Harry Potter, you’ve never heard it quite like this—and if you’re new to the stories, there has never been a better way to dive in. —Esther B., Audible Editor

Story is well known and excellent. Cast was good and well chosen. However this is just a narrated story with a cast. The narrator was ok. The voices were very quiet in places and some of the sound effects were not clear or at times unnecessary. This could have been amazing but I'm not quite sure they have the formula right. I did enjoy however and cast did a great job. I'll be interested to see if they make changes for future productions.

Great story and cast but.....

As someone who’s always been a very visual person, this full-cast edition is pure magic. The production quality and immersive sound design are extraordinary — it’s not just a reading, it’s a cinematic experience for the ears. I know it’s almost sacrilegious to say, but this might just rival (and at times even exceed) Stephen Fry’s classic narrations.

The ambient sounds, footsteps, flickers of firelight, even the echo of voices in the Great Hall — it all transported me straight back to my childhood in the 2000s, reading these books under the covers and wishing I could step inside them.

For those complaining about background noises, I’d say: go listen to the Fry editions if you prefer simplicity. Here, the sound isn’t a distraction — it’s an extension of the magic itself. Every detail enhances the world and deepens the sense of wonder.

Top marks from me. I absolutely cannot wait for the next instalments.

Whilst it’s no Stephen Fry narration, I believe it is a fresh perspective of one of the greatest stories! Hugh Laurie as Dumbledore is definitely a highlight!
