I was really looking forward to this book as I’d listened to all of the others in the series and really enjoyed them.

Sadly I found this one was lacking the excitement, danger and adventure that all of the books had. And focused on Bree in her mundane life.

Olivia was selfish to intervene, just because she wants Finns soul to go to her in heaven when he dies. She didn’t think about what Bree wanted or needed.

Nothing exciting really happened in the book, one wolf attack and that was it. Other than that it’s all the tension and drama that now shrouds the relationship between Bree and Steel, and Bree and Finn. It’s a lot of “I heard a woman, and he’s been away too long so he must be cheating”, then turns into “should I cheat on my boyfriend because of this connection with a random guy”…rather hypocritical really - but glad Bree fought it.

Two saving graces, the first being Yoyo, she’s hilarious! The second is that as always, Freya Victoria has done a great job of the narration.

I’m sure Toni Goode has a reason for this book being slow, which will hopefully be explained with the next one in the series.

I hate to say it, but I lost interest in the book, and it took me longer to finish it.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Disappointing fifth instalment!
