About this listen

Promise Me Forever is a stand-alone billionaire office romance.

How can you promise someone forever? The simple truth is that you can’t.

At least that’s what I always thought. Until I met Amelia Ryder. It was a chance encounter. We were meant to go our separate ways and never see each other again.

So you can imagine my surprise when the woman I haven’t been able to stop thinking about turns up at my office two days after I sent her home—as my new secretary. And things are about to get a lot more complicated than either of us expected.

She’s occupying my every waking thought. If I’m not thinking about her smile or her scent, or the very unprofessional things I'd like to do to her on my desk, I’m definitely picturing her delicious curves—the ones I know in intimate detail.

But I’m Drake James, cold-hearted workaholic. I don’t do relationships, I don’t do commitment, and I definitely don’t do my secretary.

So why can’t my mind and body get with the program? Because staying away from the woman is pure torture. And as unfair as it is for her, I’m not prepared to give up whatever this thing is between us, no matter how toxic it gets.

Amelia Ryder is mine, and just because I can’t have her doesn’t mean I won’t.

Promise Me Forever was a slow-burn romance that kept me hooked, with well-developed characters and plenty of workplace tension. Drake and Amelia’s connection builds gradually but powerfully, making their interactions feel real and intense. The pacing lets that tension simmer before delivering a satisfying payoff. While this book isn’t quite as spicy as some of Sadie’s previous ones, it still packs plenty of emotional depth and chemistry.
I’ve been interested in Elijah and Amber’s story since the first book, and I’m looking forward to its release to see how their journey unfolds.
Sean Masters and Savannah Peachwood delivered an outstanding duet narration, truly bringing Drake and Amelia’s story to life with depth and emotion.

Sadie writes the most delicious men and I think she has outdone herself with Drake! I really liked the story but Drake was a bit over the top with his possessiveness and stalker issues! Amelia was a great character too, but I didn't think she needed to put up with the amount of nonsense that she did.

The duet narration was superb by Sean Masters (who could read the phone book and I'd be happy) and Savannah Peachwood.

I'm enjoying the series and look forward to reading about the next James' brother.

Yummy Deliciousness!

Sadie is the Queen when it comes to spicy romance. The story is quite formulaic but the dialogue and banter make up for that. As for the spice... phew! 🥵🔥

A good story with plenty of spice

The performance was amazing as you’d expect from these two professionals. The story was ok, I wasn’t as gripped as I was when reading broken but I still enjoyed it. The spice was minimal but as always very well written.

Cute with a bit of spice

loved the story, but couldn't get on board with the female narrator. The male narrator was good. loved the first book.
