This isn't your typical thriller where you're trying to solve a mystery alongside the characters. Instead, you're taken through what happened from several different perspectives, and the way Noelle W. Ihli incorporates the supernatural element into those perspectives, along with mystery, some good funny moments, heartfelt moments and scary moments is absolutely brilliant. It gives the story something genuinely different and made it incredibly difficult for me to stop listening.
I particularly loved Andrea's perspective and Sabina was an absolutely fantastic character as was Isobel. There's so much love, determination and emotion throughout the story, alongside some wonderfully eerie moments, and the different viewpoints fit together beautifully.
The audiobook performances from Andi Arndt, Carlotta Brentan and Brittany Pressley were excellent. Having distinct narrators for the different perspectives made an already immersive story even better. They have always been 3 of my favourite narrators, so I was really looking forward to hearing them all together, narrate one book 😌
I loved the concept, I loved the characters, I loved the way the story was told, I loved the narration and how these three talanted ladies made the story feel real and I genuinely didn't want it to end. It's easily become one of my favourite listens and one I could happily listen to again and again.
Absolutely, I would wholeheartedly recommend it.
I will be reading and listening to more from Noelle W. Ihli, absolutely fantastic author!
