When readining such an old book, its easy to see how our language is evolving.

Great read,
story moved at a great pace. New Daniel Craig Film [rather the the old film] both improved nad worsened the experience. STAying on the book, Great plot, superb pacing, nice char depth, great descriptions of a bar, casino, and others not just vistas.

Fleming's writing style comes across as elegant compared with modern thrillers, and of course the luxury, violence, and bitterness of the character is kind of the point.

Can't help but feel put off by Bond in general though: the sexism, emotional immaturity, and mansplaining doesn't date well to 2025.
