Excellent read for sure. But I expected more on the side of “this is how their minds worked”. It dabbled in that space but it leans more into the causality & brutality of the regime.

Book explains a.o. that Nazism is not in the German DNA, but is a consequence of the torment of Versailles.
In this, I read a warning for the treatment of Russia, after the intended humiliation following the war in Ukrayne..
Only toward the end does it focus on psychology, until then, it's really a decent book on general history with a little bit of "psychobabble" thrown in....

Invaluable warning signs for the growth of a Fascist society. I hope these lessons are taught to all so the world is never threatened by the atrocities of an authoritarian dictatorship. Highly recommend the read.
