McAdam and the massage therapist Alina Martinescu. Can You Solve the Murder? also offers a neat bonus for savvy crime-solvers – a detective scoring system that awards keen “sleuthing skills” and diligent notetaking.
Antony Johnston’s pedigree in both crime novel and game writing coalesces delightfully here. This book had all the ingredients I love—a blend of murder mystery and choose-your-own-adventure. While there's nothing inherently wrong with it, the audiobook version is a bit clunky and hard to navigate. I solved the case on my first try without much trouble. If you have a spare credit, it's worth a shot, but there are better options out there. Sorry!
