NO GREATER FRIEND
Evan Smoak is the guy you want on your side. A former government black ops assassin, he'll be there for you in your darkest hour - and he'll rain hell and thunder on those who caused your pain.

NO WORSE ENEMY
A lone wolf operator, Evan can't afford to lose any of the few people he likes and trusts. But when Tommy Stojack, Evan's loyal, long-time gunsmith and armourer, betrays him, it's war.

Because a good assassin keeps his friends close, but his weapons closer . . .

A good book but the middle was very drawn out. It seemed unnecessary and out of keeping for the characters. the beginning and end are amazing as always. would recommend but story was weaker than the other books in the series.

Great action as always but long middle section

Started off slow, but picked up and another great book in the series brought to life by Scott Brick.

Great story and of course Scott brick at he’s finest, not sure how I’m feeling about the demise of a wonderful character but it was a superb listen

The ending was heartbreaking

One of my favourite things about the Orphan X series is that we see Evan’s humanity grow through the books. He gains more friends, more family, more awareness of his own, and others’, emotions.

This book is full of just that; emotion. Fear, anger, pain, grief, loneliness. Everyone is feeling so. damn. much and Evan doesn’t know how to deal with it. He finds himself at war with the two halves of himself that Jack tried so hard to maintain: the Orphan and his humanity.

I couldn’t put this down. And when I had to put it down I found myself thinking about it constantly. There were parts I enjoyed more than others, but overall I was just so glad to have Evan back that those parts barely registered.

After that ending, I don’t know how I’m going to wait for the next instalment. And I really don’t know how Evan is going to cope with his new found emotions.

Ripped my heart out and tore it to pieces
