About this listen

Brought to you by Penguin.

A frozen wilderness.

A killer in the skies.

When aspiring travel writer Chloé Campbell is invited aboard a luxury airship flying to the North Pole, she thinks she’s bagged the opportunity of a lifetime.

But she hasn’t had long to admire the dazzling icy views before a fellow passenger is found dead in their cabin.

Trapped at the top of the world, the group agrees a tragic accident has occurred. But as the hours tick by, fear turns to doubt.

It seems everyone’s a suspect.

And it isn’t long before the passengers begin to turn on each other . .

I did like the idea of this book, and liked the Christie style of it, but oh my goodness totally distracted from the story by possibly one of the poorest narrator perfmances I have come across! sounded as though they were constantly about to burst into tears and very "shouty" completely distracted from the book. Think I will revisit the story in hardcopy.

Interesting idea, spoilt by narrator

Gave it a good try but the narrators voice was just irritating and I gave up and borrowed the book from a friend to finish it.

Narrator ruined the book

I had read two other Tom Hindle books in hard copy and thoroughly enjoyed them. I'm now going to have to do the same for this one too. Unfortunately I had to give up as I really struggled with the Narrator. She sounded either like she was about to cry or had a dry throat. She really spoiled this for me unfortunately. I will be very careful not to purchase any other books where she is a Narrator.

Poor Performance

Hated the narration - often gabbling and odd phrasing. Spoilt it completely for me and couldn’t finish it. May get the book to read instead.

I really loved this fourth book from Tom. The story was as engaging as ever and the plot was well thought out. Tom does a very good job at controlling the pace of the story and using that change of pace to really pull you on to the point you can't press pause!

I would say Lake Garda remains the best book so far but it is still absolutely worth it.

Another great novel
