Not an unpleasant listen/read, very easy listen, although very predictable and boring after listening to half of it.

I was so worried this wouldn't live up to what I wanted but I'm so happy it has! Jacqueline, please continue! Yes the narrator isn't the best but if we rate it poorly there won't be any more.
We deserve more adult themed Jackie Wilson!

YES! my favourite characters with mature themes

I was intrigued by this idea, as the Girls books were among my favourite Jacqueline Wilson books.

It is good to hear what's happened to the girls now they are older, and I'm pleased that they aren't just the same people as before. The story is interesting, though a bit repetitive at times; this is a plot point, but it gets a bit tiresome. I couldn't help getting hung up on the continuity errors, which unfortunately seem to occur in many of Wilson's books these days. In Think Again, we hear Mr Windsor's name is Gary, when it was Guy before, and we hear that Ellie's childhood toy elephant was given to her daughter and is still very important, when in the original story the elephant was thrown away when Ellie was young. The beginning of the Girls' friendship is also misremembered by the author.

Maybe this is rather a negative view, but I think it is important to keep track of the history of your characters if you are going to revisit them in the future. I would be interested in hearing more about Wilson's characters as adults.

(Spoiler alert) Promising, but let down by errors

It was okay, worth a listen if you were a fan of the original series however some bits were a bit weird and seemed like a desperate attempt to bring characters back so they got their ending. There was no need to bring Russell back. Also I found the daughter incredibly annoying and Ellie’s ridiculous inability to speak any truth to anyone, other than now having to pay bills she had not matured.
