The partnership between Heather Tammy-Jo and Ace is fantastic. Your ability to make the characters come alive and for us listeners to love them is unsurpassed
Also I never guessed who dunnit either
And the humour throughout with the names and the conversations make the story all the more enjoyable

I could not finish the first DI Filson audiobook, mostly due to the narration. Otherwise a hardened JD Kirk fan, I listened to most of this Logan and Hoon books more than once. This one has a better storyline than the first, less side story, and is saved by Tammi-Jo in particular. But the narration is just not right - Angus King sets a high mark, but especially the male voices are just so nasal and silly sounding throughout, makes them sound sneering or like bad clowns in a circus all the time. The narrator's voice just cannot convey the characters emotions or situations. Tammi-Jo and Ace are always whining, seemingly.Kids voices are atrocious. Will buy next installment as a book.

The bringing together of Heather and Tammy Jo, while unlikely on the surface, is a triumph. Brilliant tale, amazing character development, and excellent narration. Female leads both strong positive characters and extremely well written in my view.
