Hadjar Darkhan, the Wind of the Northern Valleys, has almost reached the farthest border of the Strange Lands—the very edge of the mortal world. His path has been long and thorny. He has met and befriended many people and lost many more in the pursuit of his goal. And now the final obstacle looms ahead—the Raven Sect, the oldest and greatest stronghold of the Black General's followers. He will just have to go through them as well . . .

I don't know why I still bother listening to this book, from a nice story that I followed with interest, it slowly and gloriously turned into a soap opera where Hadjar's big purpose in life is to waste my time with his pointless adventures while his family, which he supposedly loves so very much, rots in its crystal prison. Instead of rushing through his own corpse to save them, he wastes his time serving every "left leg of a table" without having any positive or even negative effect on the world he inhabits. This story should have ended at least three books ago... I'm already so fed up with Hajar's travels that I'm not sure I even care how his story ends. Seriously, I wonder if Ash's life and being would have been a more interesting read. However, I guess he only deserved this one book.. it seems Hadjar is not only wasting my time, but also the author's... too harsh? Well, it is, what it is.

I am painfully disappointed

Book 20 and MC is still as dumb as a brick.
Abandoned his own friends, and went to the big boys. He was of 0 help and allowed his friends to suffer. Always needing to be in the center of everything the arrogant MC, then spend 20 chapters either crying or in a flashback. All that talk about honour but won’t even help his friends in battle.

MC arrogance
