THE STORY

The End Times have come. Archaon Everchosen marches on the city of Middenheim – if he captures it, the key to the Chaos Gods' ultimate victory will be his. The last heroes of men, elves and dwarfs gather to stop him, but to stand against the hordes of the Ruinous Powers, they must turn to darker allies. Against all reason, the last hope for the world may be the Undying King, Nagash himself – if he and the mortal races can find a common cause and work together. If they cannot, Archaon's plan will come to fruition, and Chaos will consume the world.

A lot of characters got good send offs and the last attempt to save the world was suitably grand. But there's too many characters getting killed off screen in this series. Grimgor shows up for 5 whole minutes. The dwarfs get left outside, not participating in the final bid to save the world. And the Brettonians, ogres, halflings, chaos dwarfs, lizardmen and goblins don't make an appearance at all (apart from Golgfag in a minor roll). The series was good, but felt very rushed. Could have done with a few more books to give everyone a proper send off.
