Australian boxer Perc Morgan is on the canvas. Holed up in a mining town after a disastrous fight, all he can think about is rising to success, sporting or otherwise. However, as he walks the dusty town by day, by night he begins dreaming about water, signaling the start of a latter-day Arthurian quest. Pretty soon this tale of rowing, redemption, and sewage sees him joining forces with a bunch of fellow "knights", encountering a Merlin figure known as Sir Baz, and coming to the disconcerting conclusion that finding his holy grail might just depend on the notion of pure filth!
