FROM THE SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR & GLOBAL TIK TOK SENSATION, EMILY HENRY

Daphne always loved the way Peter told their story. That is until it became the prologue to his actual love story with his childhood bestie, Petra.

Which is how Daphne ends up rooming with her total opposite and the only person who could possibly understand her predicament: Petra's ex, Miles.

As expected, it’s not a match made in heaven – that is until one night, while tossing back tequilas, they form a plan.

And if it involves posting deliberately misleading photos of their adventures together, well, who could blame them?

But it’s all just for show, of course.

Because there’s no way Daphne would start her new chapter by falling in love with her ex-fiancé’s new fiancée’s ex . . . right?

A shimmering, joyful new novel about a pair of opposites with the wrong thing in common, from #1 New York Times and Sunday Times bestselling author Emily Henry

Emily Henry’s best yet
April showers bring … another new novel from Emily Henry. For the fifth year in a row, Henry warms up the spring season with a heartfelt romance set in a dreamy locale featuring an unlikely pair. Daphne’s fiancé dumps her for his childhood best friend, Petra. Daphne decides to move in with Petra’s jilted ex, Miles, fake dating each other to make the new couple jealous—but it quickly turns into something more. Henry’s knack for writing relatable characters while balancing romantic love with relationships between friends and siblings adds even more joy to this beautiful story. Julia Whelan delivers another flawless performance, bringing the unforgettable cast of Funny Story to life. I think this one might be Henry’s best yet! —Margaret H., Audible Editor

I really enjoyed this book. o liked the characters and there were no villains interfering. It was all about discovering who you are, why you are and that you have a choice in the matter.

A great little escape that caught me off guard

One of my favourite Emily Henry books so far. Believably crafted characters, good plot development and the necessary “misunderstanding bit” that always occurs in romance novels, was not as construed as they sometimes can be. Add to that the absolutely stellar performance by the narrator Julia Whelan and you have a great summer read (listening) waiting for you.

Great summer read

Emily Henry writes the wittiest, most romantic stories on the planet. Again she has made me laugh and cry with her signature style and totally relatable characters. Miles and Daphne are the perfect foil for one another and the supporting cast are great. I really felt their every emotion, their highs and lows and their vulnerabilities.
I'm not going to go into the plot - I don't want to put spoilers in but this is another original love story with the so much more that
Emily Henry injects. I loved it. I lived it.
Julia Whelan as usual is the perfect narrator.

Another brilliant romance from Emily Henry.

Emily Henry has done it again! This is the third book of her’s that I’ve read and can’t get enough of her work.

The start is probably the most gut wrenching and unimaginable heartbreaking circumstances of a lighthearted romance but I find the payoff both satisfyingly rewarding and realistic in some sense. It’s refreshing to see the main character genuinely learns from her mistakes and trauma and why.

How anyone can find love, friendship and healing after the most devastating heartbreak (betrayal)
