About this listen

Let bestselling author T.A. Williams transport you to Siena in this addictive murder mystery

Perfect for fans of Lee Strauss and Beth Byers.

A lazy weekend in the country…

Dan Armstrong and the new love of his life, Anna, are heading to a hotel deep in the gorgeous Tuscan countryside for a long weekend, looking forward to some time away from the stresses of their day jobs. With the beautiful and historic city of Siena just around the corner, it promises to be relaxing and enjoyable. What could possibly go wrong?

A mutilated body…

But when a mutilated body is discovered in the hotel grounds Dan is called in to help with the investigation. But who or what could have been responsible for such a vicious attack? Was it the work of wild animals, or is there a brutal murderer at large?

A killer who cried wolf?

Dan knows he is dealing with a clever killer – whether two- or four-legged! And as he sets out to solve the case he begins to worry about his own loyal canine companion. Could Oscar be in more danger than any of the other hotel guests or is a murderer trying to cover their tracks?

I really enjoy this cozy series, it is all very cosy and comforting but a most enjoyable listen. The main characters have grown as the series has, the story also had many different characters as it unfolded, but not difficult to follow. I also really like the narrator and this seems to work exceptionally well for the series.

Kept me guessing until the end. Well read, great story in beautiful setting. I’m looking forward to the rest of the series.

In every series there are books that you like more than others without ruining the whole series. This one just wasn’t my favourite. I didn’t really care enough the new characters to be interested in who got bumped off or why but the core characters were fine so on we go to the next one!

The Dan and Oscar combo are a delight. I love the attention to food, both for Dan and Oscar. I love the feel of these books, they make you feel as though you are there, whether it is warm Tuscanny, the cold Matterhorn or Sienna,
I like the fact there is no un necessary foul language, and there are no boring sex romps..Just a nice interesting, easy dectective story.. perfect

Well written, excellently narrated by Simon Mattacks,
I can binge on these books, I just wish they were longer.

I always find there are too many characters who are suspects in these stories and a whole school of red herrings but that didn't make this story any less enjoyable! Easy to listen to and not too graphic or gory!!

A "cozy" murder mystery.
