I love the story line, the relationship between the characters and I definitely loved the banter between the Commander and Valek...
I would give it more stars, but limited to five. the narrator did a fantastic job with how he voiced each character and read it just how I would read it in my head.

I have never really been able ro truly relax and stay put on holiday but this is the first time I have got a proper tan as I was so engrossed with this book and found it easy to listen to.

Unfortunately I was less keen on the narrator, he really overemphasized every line in a way that dragged out.... each.... sentence.... with overdramatization of basic scenes, so that the truly dramatic ones didn't stand out so much in comparison. I also didn't love all the accents - especially Janco, it was such a caricature of a funny guy accent rather than a real person which was a let down as he's one of my favourite characters.
But that being said, having persevered through the first half hour or so I did get used to the narration style and from then on did enjoy the story, and it's nice to be able to listen to a story I love while I don't have so much time to read a physical book at the moment.
So overall I would absolutely recommend giving it a listen, and if you don't gel with the narrator then just read the physical copy instead, because the story is definitely worth it!
You just can't go wrong with a Chronicles of Ixia story!
