About this listen

THE IRRESISTIBLE ROMANTIC COMEDY FROM THE GLOBAL MULTI-MILLION-COPY BESTSELLING AUTHOR.

Discover the joy that awaits when you set yourself free...

Sasha is well and truly over it all: work (all-consuming), friendships (on the back burner), sex-life (non-existent).

Armed with good intentions to drink kale smoothies, try yoga and find solitude, she heads to the Devon resort she loved as a child. But it's off-season, the hotel is falling apart and she has to share the beach with a grumpy, stressed-out guy called Finn.

How can she commune with nature when he's sitting on a rock, watching her suspiciously? Especially when they don't agree on burnout cures. (Sasha: manifesting, wild swimming, secret Mars bars; Finn: drinking whisky.)

But when curious messages start appearing on the beach, Sasha and Finn are forced to begin talking – about everything. What's the mystery? Why are they both burned out? And what exactly is 'manifesting', anyway?

They might discover that they have more in common than they think. . .

I love Sophie Kinsella, and was so excited for the latest book.
Unfortunately this book, whilst not terrible, I struggled to get to the end and found it did not keep my interest.
In my personal opinion, it was not worth £7.99 monthly fee.

A real “page turner” and the narrator was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Give it a go

Very enjoyable book

Loved the atmosphere, the characters, the story. A great read for Sophie Kinsella readers! Some of her stories have a weird bitter/mean tone in the beginning, this has none of that. Purely heartwarming & funny in a gentle, kind way. The voices too, the receptionist is so funny!

Relaxed and positive

This is one of my favourites. I can really relate to the burnout situation and the place visited as a child . I like that there’s a bit of detective work too. I preordered this book before it was published and hadn’t started it until now. I couldn’t wait to put my AirPods in and listen. I found I couldn’t turn it off.

Absolutely loved this book.
