I remember when books first came out over 10 years ago. The series was good then as it is now. The story only gets better from this book. There are a lot of ups and downs from here onwards. Overall, it's a good series. Worth to get subsequent audio books.

Been in a real reading/listening slump recently. Struggling to find that balance of a gripping book, with good fantasy elements, but not to heavy in uninteresting politics.
The book really stays on point and follows such a great hero/protagonist arc.
Best book I've listened to since the King Killer Chronicles and the narrator does a splendid job with the character building.
Werebeasts and dark fantasy. 100%!

the great attention to detail about the world while staying consistent about its rules the voice actor is pretty good as well though his female voices could be better wish the whole series was available to listen to
