A steamy, enemies to lovers romantic comedy performed by Sebastian York & Vanessa Edwin!

One trip across Europe. Two arch enemies. And seven nights with only one bed in the room in a spicy new standalone romance from Lauren Blakely!

The last person I want to be stuck with anywhere for one night, let alone seven, is the too-sexy-for-my-own-good Axel Huxley. I tried to work with the cocky grump once upon a time, but we're like vodka and good decisions. We don't play well together.

Only now, our publishers are sending us on a joint book tour across Europe on an old-fashioned luxury train. And thanks to a booking snafu, I have to share a sleeper car with the man who's made a sport of infuriating me.

You guessed it--there's only one bed.

I'm not sure I can survive the next seven days and nights with my dangerously sexy enemy and all our fiery tension.

Which explodes one night in a desperately needed hate bang.

But the bigger plot twist is this - the more time we spend together, visiting the most romantic cities in Europe by day and discovering each other at night, the more I'm forced to face our past.

To let go of the hurt.

To see the man he's become.

And when I do, I wonder if it's too late to write a new happy ending for us?

This is Hazel and Axel's romance. Tropes include: enemies to lovers, ex-friends-to-lovers, only one bed, seven day romance, forced proximity, rival writers.

This was such a fun listen . Great story, ticking all the tropes. It had a lovely book-within-a-book vibe. The narrators were excellent too.

Sometimes you just need a simple romance book - no angst, no drama, just an entertaining love story. My So-Called Sex Life is just that, and it sees Axel and Hazel, two authors who used to write together, but for reasons that become apparent throughout the story, abruptly stop writing together, and go their separate ways, until that is, they are forced together on a train ride across Europe during a book tour. Awkward, especially the fact that they have to pretend that they don’t actually hate each other. Maybe they don’t. A friends to enemies to lovers sexy romance narrated by Sebastian York and Vanessa Edwin, who are perfect together, ensuring that the listener gets all the feels throughout, happy, sad, mad, annoyed and of course the best of all, love struck. As and avid reader and follower of all my favourite authors on social media I could really relate to both Axel and Hazel, and I most definitely could relate to the book lovers and tour attendees. The whole story resonated with me in the best possible way. Highly entertaining, which is exactly what I want from a story. I loved it.
I was gifted a copy of this audiobook. This is my honest review.

I very much looked forward to this story, I have been waiting for Axel and Hazels story for a while and it’s finally here!

What can I say? I love the sassy and clever ms Valentine and when paired with the cocky & arrogant Mr Huxley sparks fly!

This story of one time friends, to arch nemeses, to lovers story will have you laughing and swooning. There is some serious chemistry between the two main characters but also I adore the fun, if very familiar, side characters.

Overall the book is fun, sweet & sexy. The narrators do brilliant job on this audio book with Sebastian York’s gravelly growly voice making us all swoon for Axel and Vanessa Edwin’s portrayal of the sassy Hazel making us all fall for the heroine.

A great adventure

I was so excited for this book when I first saw teasers, and I’m so happy that I got to listen to the audiobook! I loved it so much! The trip through Europe, the close quarters on the train, the play on tropes in romance novels, it all worked so well for a swoony and amazing love story. It had the best balance of banter and love, of going from nemeses to lovers. I love reading stories set in places I’ve been, reliving the memories made in those places, and this book definitely took me back! A great low-angst romance for if you want to escape into some amazing cities! I just wish I could read all the books Axel and Hazel were writing!

What an amazing story!

This was a fun story to listen to as the two authors fight their irritation with each other along with their attraction. Only for a long promotional book your has them in close quarters, and with fans.
The narrators Vanessa Edwin and Sebastian York where brilliant keeping the story flowing and all the characters separate.
