Overall I enjoyed this book but thought that some of the plot choices were only half developed and led you in a strange direction. It was if the author thought about developing one plot line then changed her mind half way through. Lots of missed opportunities. I thought the end was very weak and ill conceived.
I didn't mind the narrator
although I know other people criticised her.

The voice acting is brilliant and you're able to easily distinguish between characters. This was a brilliant book and I would definitely be listening to this again. It's gripping and pulls at your heart.

Character building through excellent voice acting

I found this book difficult listen to until chapter 14 due to the violence and cruelty to a child. Then it improved a lot and became a better listen but it later became disjointed and unsatisfactory in so many areas. The ending was a huge anti climax. I only persevered with it because it was free in the plus catalogue, but I found it o stalk a disappointing book. The narration was very well done.

Not great!
