An emotional rollercoaster

What I've enjoyed so far about this series is how it's a metaphor about real, emotional issues

it's okay, I didn't really "grab" me. I am hard to please as I love alot of "build upto a plot and also a "build up" to the steamy bits.. and I found this was a little.. shallow. not the content mind. content was very explicit...however I feel more "foreplay of story building " was needed... I couldn't quite dive into it as I have with others. again..I'm hard to please.
it may of been different perhaps with a different narrator... the tempo and pace of the voice would have been better suited for a comedy story I feel.. it was all very samey throughout every scene when going through different scenes regarding emotional expressions etc.. so that may have lost it for me. every line was spoken in a "matter of fact" tone...I need more range in contrasting scenes to get my mind engrossed. again..I'm a hard pleaser (if that's a word)

Narrator should be doing kids books - I don't think I can listen to the next one! The story seems pretty random and I can't get past the FMC having random ribbons down her spine? Perhaps I just didn't get it but I cannot understand the hype.

I have been spoiled with dual narrators, but Bella Sanby did a fantastic job narrating Gild. She brought Auren to life. Kept me engaged and listening even after I had already read the book.
Auren is King Midas' favourite saddle, and it's her story finding strength, dealing with her clumsiness and good nature. Gild lives up to the hype. It is a great story. Trigger warnings. Slight cliffhanger. I'm definitely listening to Glint.

It’s a slow start to an epic story, you nee this book to understand the next.

Gild had a slow start, which I love with fantasy because I get time with the characters and the world before all the action starts and boy did it come in heavy in this book.

I absolutely love Auren, Sail and Rissa. Auren is impulsive, Sail is always there with a smile and Rissa has a strength about her that is something to behold.

I’m still unsure of how I feel about Midas but I’m definitely looking forward to finding out more about everyone.

Side note, I need Auren to see the stars!
