Summary

Brought to you by Penguin.

Did they break the curse or begin one? Sleeping Beauty's dark sorceress reclaims her story in this sequel to Malice.

The Dark Grace is dead.

Feared and despised for the sinister power in her veins, Alyce has spent 100 years wreaking her revenge on the kingdom that made her an outcast. Once a realm of decadence and beauty, Briar is now wholly Alyce's wicked domain. No one escapes the consequences of her wrath.

Not even the one person who holds her heart.

Princess Aurora saw through Alyce's thorny facade, earning a love that promised the dawn of a new age. But that love came with a heavy price: Aurora now sleeps under a curse that even Alyce's vast power cannot seem to break, and their dream of the world they would have built together is nothing but ash.

Alyce vows to do anything to wake the woman she loves, even if it means descending into the monster Briar believed her to be. But could Aurora ever love the villain Alyce has become?

Or is true love only for fairy tales?

Good ending with a Hopefully look upon the future for them.

Since I listened through the first book, I was expecting quiet a lot, for it did set the bar high for me. It did deliver. All the twists got me tangled into the story for real. Got me tearing up at certain times and the amount of anguish I could feel from all the betrayal happening left and right... Marvelous.
The narrator was great at delivering all the different characters, to the point where I heard her voice change in a certain way and my mind immediately knew who she was portraying.
I recommend with both hands, that was a great one to listen and the story was worth it.

amazing!

really enjoyed the book. the narrator was brilliant and made it that but more enjoyable!

Alyce and all the other characters were fantastic and it was wonderful to see where the stories of each character, mortal and not, ended.

Meh

Alice has such a victim complex. And uses it to justify mass murder against way more than just the people who wronged her. Maybe I’m too old for YA ‘badass’ villains with Putin’s war and all that.
