If you’ve ever felt like you’ve not quite done well enough at something, at anything, you need to read this book.

Watson gives us an insight into his life as a comedian, author, father, friend and human in this remarkably honest autobiography. His writing is funny in places and heart-wrenchingly sad in others and his amiable, skilful reading of the text keeps you hooked.

I believe there is something in this book for everyone. It is the most relatable and insightful ‘self-help’ book I have ever read. I’ve always enjoyed his books and his comedy but this has got to be the best thing he has ever written.

Some are endearingly cringeworthy, others darker and revealing a more flawed and vulnerable side – but all written and performed with heart, humour, and honesty (the section directly speaking his children springs to mind). Eight snapshots into a life less ordinary, and how he uses his experiences, failures, and wisdom going into a future more hopeful.

I had literally never even heard or seen Mark Watson before listening to this. It has a lot of great analogies and tips for everyone.

I love stand up comedy, but have never felt that comedians translate very well to other media. This proved me wrong. Watson is laugh out loud funny in many places, while also being searingly honest about his numerous mistakes. Very relatable . i have just listened to this while isolating with my son and it really helped me get through.
