Overall this is a good listen for when doing housework or general bits and bobs, with it being short stories it is easy to keep up with. Some of the stories however were a little bit drawn out and some fell slightly flat with an abrupt ending but this can sometimes happen with short stories. However overall a good listen if you are looking for a book to keep you company and entertained whilst doing house work or when driving. I do however really enjoy the narrator, his voice really brings the characters to life!

Overall good little listen

This is a good collection of short stories from Richard Storry. They are a mixed bunch some better than others in my opinion but all are entertaining with twists and turns to keep the listener interested. Although short they are well enough written to develop the characters and get you on their side. Nigel Peever's narration and production is excellent bringing each story to life.
I was kindly given a copy of the book by the narrator and voluntarily leave this honest review.

A Good Collection.

This was an odd collection of stories, some better than others. i am no expert on literature or reviewing but some of these stories seem to take a long time to get nowhere. The narration was rather good if a little hammy, darling, but I guess it suited the feel of the tales. I've no objection to a little music at the beginnings of chapters but the noise running concurrently with the narration was annoying, distracting and even overpowering. All in all, it was quite entertaining though.

I wouldn't not recommend it -deliberate double-neg

This book does contain sound bites and musical clips, though these were appropriate, I know some people don't like them. Several short stories, some of them are quite open ended and leave you thinking. I did enjoy this book. As usual Nigel Peever narrated this excellently, his voice is perfect for eerie stories.

Short stories with excellent narration.
