Three trials stand between Lera and exile. Unless the training kills her first. Quint magic has never chosen a human before, and the Elders Council is convinced Lera is a mistake. When the quint refuses to be cleaved apart, the enraged elders give them a choice: exile from Lunos or demotion to the lowest of trainees. Subject again to the humiliations and deadly trials they endured centuries ago, the males now face a new challenge - training Lera to survive. River, Shade, Coal, and Tye will do whatever it takes to keep Lera safe. But Lera will do whatever she must to keep them together - even if it means putting herself in mortal danger. River, Shade, Coal, and Tye are steadfast in keeping Lera safe, but Lera’s only goal is to keep the Quint together no matter what they have to endure to survive or the price she may have to pay.
Love how these characters are evolving and the relationship is developing not just a romp in bed. We have a definite plot and a continual developing storyline. Can’t wait to listen to the next book.
Victoria Mei narrates and definitely holds your attention from beginning to end.

This book has so much going on I’m finding it difficult to keep up!! These’s so many dynamics between different characters in this relationship. Great storyline and characters that you just can’t get enough of. Victoria is brilliant with her narration.

More involved now.

I was so excited to start this story after Power of Five. I loved that book and I had high hopes for this one. And it didn't disappoint. This story took some twists that I didn't expect and revealed a lot of secrets and traumas from the past. But I just loved the way it unfolded. I love the strengthening bonds between Lera and the guys. And I cannot wait to see what comes next. There is still so much that I'm waiting to see happen.

Once again I really enjoyed the narrator. She made the story easy to listen to, and her different voices for each character made it easy for me to know who was speaking even without seeing it. I wouldn't hesitate to listen to more books by her and feel like a great choice was made in narrator for this series.

This book is perfect it’s fast paced and has more than enough going on to keep your mind focused. I did listen to it again as there is so much happening and found so much that I missed the first time

Fantastic

it was a nice listen, it helped pass some time the main female character is a bit weak for my liking but maybe she will progress in later books, the narrator did a great job though. Audiobook obsessions reviewer.
