Francine Rivers, winner of the ECPA Gold Medallion, is a best-selling author of Christian fiction. A Voice in the Wind takes listeners into a richly imagined ancient Rome in the midst of its great decline. This heart-stirring tale of a young slave girl, torn between her love for a handsome aristocrat and her faith in God, transcends genres with its awe-inspiring power and emotional intensity.©2002 Francine Rivers (P)2004 Recorded Books, LLC Christian Fiction Genre Fiction Historical Historical Fiction Romance Heartfelt Ancient History

Reading for a second time as it left me seeking to see God more the last time I read it. There’s a bit or violence in the history of Rome to endure but the nature and character of God comes through louder.

Beautiful story which leads you to love God more

It took me a while to get into it, but oh my goodness it was so worth it. The narrator was perfect for this beautiful book. Can’t stop crying as it’s ended. Just beautiful, cruel and full of faith. Glorious.

So much in this to learn and love

This happens to be my favourite all-time fiction book I’ve been reading for years. I love the characters, the story, Francine’s style, the twists…just everything about it and the following two. I love the way that the Bible, christ, faith and Gods hand in things is portrayed. (Seriously, I wanted to name my eldest daughter “Hadassah” because of the character and that it was Esther’s name) Now it’s FINALLY an audiobook I’m very happy. AND, it’s read by my all-time favourite reader too.
I absolutely, totally, recommend the series.

My absolute favourite fiction books, read by my absolute favourite
