Summary

Penguin presents the audiobook edition of In The Dark by Cara Hunter, read by Lee Ingleby and Emma Cunniffe.

A woman and child are found locked in a basement room, barely alive. No-one knows who they are - the woman can't speak, and there are no missing persons reports that match their profile.

The elderly man who owns the house claims he has never seen them before. The inhabitants of the quiet Oxford street are in shock - how could this happen right under their noses?

But DI Adam Fawley knows that nothing is impossible. And that no-one is as innocent as they seem....

Gripping!

We listened to this story on our drive through France. The reading of the story was excellent as we're all the twists and turns.

Twisty!

Excellent. Better than Book 1 in my opinion. Hope there will be a book 3 soon. Really enjoyed the performances of Lee Ingleby and Emma Cunniffe.

A slow starter, but stick with it.

Took a while to get into this book, but I’m so so glad I stuck with it, twists & turns most of the way!
I look forward to the next one in this series.

Confused

Good story. Well narrated. Bit of a weird ending. Like author had run out of ideas. But otherwise worth listening to.
