Short, sweet, and quirky alien romance story that had me shaking my head one moment and smiling at the next. Spark and Carrie make a good and entertaining couple. The narrator did a great job with providing unique voices for each character and appropriate tone inflections for each scene. I enjoyed this one and the laughs that it gave me. The misunderstandings that came from the main character was definitely enjoyable and I am interested in continuing to see if the rest of the books follow suit. I didn't enjoy the narrator 100% but I think it was just me, and it wasn't enough to put me off the rest of the book.

Kal (Spark), Vin (Flame), and Sev (Blaze) have come to Earth, Las Vegas as a matter of fact, for fun and a vacation under the guise of looking for mates. Kal’s is the first story. This is a light-hearted story with lots of fun and a couple of serious spots, like a kidnapping. Kal is hilarious when he tries what he thinks is the come-on lines that will win a woman. When he meets Callie, he knows he wants to be with her. They have great chemistry, and sparks do indeed fly when they are together. Kal is from another planet and Callie needs and wants to stay on Earth. Is there a way to have a happily ever after, or is it just a fling. Cute story, great characters. Kylie Stewart’s narration is quite entertaining.

A couple of times a month I make a 2 1/2 hr drive south to pick up my grandkids for the weekend. I've found the books in this series are perfect for the drive. I loved Kal and Carrie's adventures in Vegas. Gotta love a guy who's only looking for a bit of fun and ends up with a lifetime of love.

3 aliens arrive in Vegas for a little bit of fun and along the way Kal (aka Spark) meets Carrie. We also met Kal’s cousins Vin and Sev, whom I’m sure we’ll learn more about in later books. This was a real fun audiobook and I had a smile on my face throughout (mainly due to Kal’s naivety). I giggled out loud a few times too. Okay, it’s silly but it’s exactly the type of escapism I need at the moment! Good start to the series and looking forward to reading more!
