Cass's boring uneventful life is turned upside down when she inherits a mysterious diamond and suddenly she seems to be in danger from every direction. A mysterious stranger insists she is flown to the tropical island of Maui for her own protection, as she is apparently caught between two warring dragons - and she's falling in love with one of them.

I've always loved the idea of the world of shifters, where the heroines are feisty women who can hold their own, and the heroes are good looking strapping fellas whose hearts are true and who love, and are faithful to, their destined mates for life. And on top of that, in Anna Lowe's version of this wonderful place, in the right circumstances being a shifter's destined mate can enable a human to become a shifter too ...

With a well written, action-packed story as a background to set their romance in, what more can you want of a fantasy read to get away from it all for a few hours? I think I've read all of Anna Lowe's shifter books and loved them all, but the twelve Aloha Shifter books, 6 'Jewels of the Heart' and 6 'Pearls of Desire', are my favourites - so far ...!

Love of the Dragon is the fifth book in the Aloha Shifters series. Set on the tropical island of Maui, book five follows Cassandra and Silas’s story. Although I started to warm up to Silas’s character in book four, I still wasn’t sure if I was going to like the fifth book as much as the others in the series. After listening to this book, I decided that it was my fourth favourite.

The usual thrills, humour, steam and HEA were there, and it was an entertaining listen, but the fight scenes were too long. I loved Silas’s inner dragon, and the way that Silas bickered with his dragon made me laugh. I also liked that the ending gives the premise for the final book in the series. As always, the narration by Kelsey Osborne was amazing.

That was spectacular, Cassandra is such an incredible character. She's strong minded, feisty and full of surprises. Pairing her with the extremely stubborn, hard headed Silas is absolutely a perfect match. These two work very well together, bringing out each others strengths and weakness's. The storyline really picks up, and alot of questions are finally answered. Whilst I might have guessed right on a few things, there were many things I didn't expect. This story was every bit as exciting and filled with enough tension as it's predecessors, with both characters dealing with their own problems. I really enjoyed every part of this book, all of the characters are just so well written that I felt a connection to each one of them. This series is a perfect read for anyone who enjoys a shifter romance with alot of bite, pardon the pun.

We’ve met Silas in each of the books in this series and if I’m honest id say I’ve never really taken to his character, his whole demeanour does suit the position he holds within the group but out of all of them he was my least favourite so I expected his book to be the one I enjoyed least ...... how wrong I was!
This stern, uptight Alpha dragon showed a whole different side when Cassandra finds herself in need of protection. I’ll admit I just might be a little in love with Silas now.
Again this story was nicely narrated and I really enjoyed the storyline with all the unexpected revelations.
I expected this book to be the one I enjoyed least but instead it turned out to be the one I enjoyed most.

I don’t think I am giving anything away when I say this (most books end this way) but I am so happy that Silas got his happy ending with Cassandra, being strong and thinking about others before yourself only works for so long.
I am so looking forward the the next instalment
