About this listen

How do you confront your husband when you don't want to know the truth?

Twenty years ago Dennis Danson was arrested and imprisoned for the brutal murder of a young girl in Florida's Red River County. Now he's the subject of a true-crime documentary that's whipping up a frenzy online to uncover the truth and free a man who has been wrongly convicted.

A thousand miles away in England, Samantha is obsessed with Dennis' case. She exchanges letters with him and is quickly won over by his apparent charm and kindness to her. Soon she has left her old life behind to marry him and campaign for his release.

But when the campaign is successful and Dennis is freed, Sam begins to discover new details that suggest he may not be quite so innocent after all....

super gripping with a fantastic narrator for the first half but I could see where this was going and the suspense was gone! Very disappointing ending

Disappointing ending

This was a slightly different storyline to most of the books I have listened to. it was a good read but the only thing that let it down was the ending. it didn't quite hit the mark and I was left with more questions than answers.

it flowed well and the narrator was good. the main thing is I didn't feel as if I wasted my credit.

Enjoyable

Really enjoyed this slightly disappointing ending felt like it built and built but then it was all too quick at the end. Maybe I just didn’t want it to end.
Loved it though x
