About this listen
Brought to you by Penguin.
Read by award-winning narrator Jeff Harding.
**NOW A MAJOR PRIME TV SERIES STARRING ALAN RITCHSON**
Two female army high-flyers. Both acquainted with Jack Reacher. Both forced to resign from the service.
Now they're both dead.
Found in their own homes, naked, in a bath full of paint. Apparent victims of an army man. A loner, a smart guy with a score to settle.
A ruthless vigilante.
A man just like Jack Reacher.
Although the Jack Reacher novels can be listened to in any order, The Visitor is the 4th in the series.
‘Jeff Harding’s [...] narration captures Reacher’s character perfectly [...] you have to savour every minute.’ The Sunday Times

The narrator did another excellent job but this story is my least favourite so far.

Joking aside, another twisting and turning story - I thought I’d figured it out on a number of occasions but no… here we go again with another price of information thrown into the mix. I did view the cause of the deaths with some degree of disbelief or at least scepticism but… I have no intention of providing a spoiler alert so tough luck! True or fantasy, it’ didn’t detract from the story.
I always feel sad when Reacher stories end and wonder what happens next. Is that a good author, an amazing central character - or just a blinking good story?
Twists and turns galore
