As word of Horus's treachery spreads to fully half of the Legiones Astartes, Terra looks to the remaining loyalist Space Marines to defend the Imperium. One group, however, remains curiously silent in spite of apparent efforts from both sides to contact them - the noble Fifth Legion, Jaghatai Khan's fearsome White Scars. I woulda given this a 5,5,5 had it not been for the complete butchering of the female natators attempt to voice marines. this is made worse for primarchs and is compounded further when doing/attempting them with a white scar accent... it's worse when most of the time the male narrator nails it. then the female who kills it with the female characters straight butchers it with the khan

stop female narrators doing primarch voices

Whilst this is a well written novella, it is one of the problems with the Heresy series overall. It isn't necessary and doesn't advance the over all story. This could have been dealt with in a few paragraphs in another novel.

Not really necessary
